The program aims to:

  • Reduce your risk of falls
  • Help you gain the confidence needed to maintain your independence and stay active.

The program is led by experienced Physiotherapists, Exercise Physiologists and Occupational Therapists, who will provide supervised exercise sessions and education.

Studies show that, after engaging with Stepping On, older adults:

  • Improved their walking speed
  • Improved their balance
  • Improved their confidence

Why Choose Stepping On?

Falling is NOT an inevitable part of aging! While it’s true that the risk of falling increases as we age due to changes in vision, balance, and strength, these risks can be effectively managed.

Research shows that targeted interventions, such as those provided in the Stepping On Program, can significantly reduce the likelihood of falls.

By participating in exercises that improve strength and balance, making adjustments to your home environment, and becoming more aware of how certain medications can affect your stability, you can take proactive steps to protect yourself from falls.

What sets Stepping On apart is its holistic approach to fall prevention. Participants benefit not only from physical exercises but also from expert advice on vision, medication management, and home safety, all tailored to address the unique challenges faced by older adults. The supportive group environment encourages social interaction, making the program as enjoyable as it is effective.

By completing the program, participants often experience a renewed sense of independence and a significant boost in confidence, empowering them to engage more fully in their daily activities.
