This training covers general strategies to support clients living with cognitive impairments or challenging behaviours, however, it is important to note that your care should always be person centred and you should review any behaviour support plans for strategies specific to your client.
In situations where the following strategies do not work, and your clients are agitated, unsafe and / or you are unable to assist them, this should be escalated via your company’s internal procedures to gain review by an appropriately qualified medical or allied health practitioner.
